May Gift Guide

Just in time for Mother’s Day! (and anytime, gifts are always good~)

How about giving textiles this year?  I found some lovely embroidered doilies at an antique market, which I framed and hung on my wall; but this would make a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift.  You could use embroidered handkerchiefs, scarves, doilies, all kinds of textiles.  Just buy a nice colored matt and pop them in a picture frame.

Know someone with wheat allergies?  The gluten-free iced lemon rounds cookies from Trader Joe’s are delicious and gluten free (hint, I gave them to my mom for Mother’s Day!)

Stamps!  Useful and pretty, the Post Office has some really lovely stamps which would make gifts you can use.  The only downside?  Your giftee will know exactly how much you spent.  I recommend giving them in a really pretty box or gift bag…  Or buy a sheet and frame~

And I know I’ve recommended this before, but hand-made gifts are the best!  Shop your local galleries and little boutiques for bowls, jewelry, scarves, stationary, anything made by an actual artist.  Who doesn’t like something unique?
