Old Navy Dress: DIY 3 Ways, Part II

The return of the dress! We’ve already snipped off the bottom and made a nice skirt.  I’m also planning on changing and shortening the sleeves.  So I cut them off, but don’t want to waste the fabric.  Solution?  Make a colorful print pocket for an otherwise bland tank top.Here it was when we started:

To make the pocket, I snipped a 3×4 inch square of fabric, folded over the top and double stitched.  Then I ironed the sides (as shown above) folding the bottom corners down.  Pin to shirt and sew.  Project time: 30 minutes.  Cool new shirt from boring closet wallflower: priceless!
